However, reverse swing has begun in film industry. The latest director to get into acting is Sunder. C. He is playing the lead role opposite Malayalam actress Jyotirmayi in â€˜Thalainagaramâ€™ after directing about 27 films. He has the looks and the talent to become a big hero but we will come to know the true color only when this film hits the theatres. Big banner Oscar Films is producing it and Suraaj has written the story besides directing it. The film is all about a group of people who comes to Chennai city to earn a living and fulfill their ambitions. The hero of the film also comes to the city to get a good job. Money flows in and he starts spending lavishly on wine, women and friends. However, an incident changes his life once and for all. Heroine of the film also comes to the city to enter beauty pageants and eventually becomes Miss Chennai. The film also has comedian Vadivelu aiming to marry actress Trisha. The director revealed that the incidents happening in the lives of the various actors are portrayed in a humorous manner. He added that it would bring to light Sunderâ€™s acting skills. The shooting of the film is done in and around Chennai city, as the events revolves around it. There is no duet or romantic number in the film for Sunder C but there is romance with a difference. The director turned actor has lost 17 kg to fit into the role and had even tonsured his head for a particular scene. Prakashraj plays the role of the villain while Venkat plays heroâ€™s friend and his real life wife Soniya is his screen wife. The other cast of the film includes Judo Ratnam, K S Ravikumar, Vichu, Mayilsami, Singhamuthu and Sasikumar. K S Selvaraj is the cinematographer and Imman scores the music.
