His macho looks make Bhuvana (Trisha), a college going next-door Brahmin girl fall for him and they both get married. A flashback reveals him to be a do-gooder, son of an honest farmer from Palani falsely framed in taking bribes. He then starts taking bribes and remitting the money to the government or helping the poor. When Arusaamy starts targeting the illegal activities of the Annachi, he is transferred to a different place thrusting a challenge for seven days with the villain.
