Kasi Viswanathan Simran and Kamal Hassan team together for the first time in a new film titled 'Pammal K. Sambandham'. The film is produced by Pentamedia's Media Dreams. This production house has bagged quite a few of the National Film Awards. Its 'Bharati' won three awards, for costumes, artwork and for best female playback singer for Pavatharani - daughter of Illaiyaraja. The best child actor award went to Uday for his performance in 'Nilakaalam'. What is admirable is that the banner does not restrict itself to producing films of a particular genre. Side by side with the 3D animation film 'Pandavas' we saw 'Bharati'. A film revolving around children was 'Nilaakaalam' and Little John' was made in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. And now it is 'Pammal K. Sambandham', a commercial fare, with saleable stars like Kamal and Simran. A full-length comedy, the film also has another romantic pairing in Abbas and Sneha. It has Mouli writing and directing the film. Mouli returns to film direction after a long gap. He was quite busy with his forays into the Telugu field where he directed quite a few films for media Baron Ramoji Rao. Kamal plays the role of a stunt master in this film, instead of being the regular hero with dupes. Deva scores the music, while cinematography is by Saravanan. Crazy Mohan pens the dialogues and the stunts are taken care of by Vikram Dharma. GK, who won the national award for his art-direction in the banner 'Bharathi', is roped in again as the set designer for this film. K. Thanikachalam edits the film, while Thenappan is the film's production executive. The film was launched at Prasad Audio Theatre, and the shooting is to commence soon.
