Jeans Year of Release : 1998 Cast : Prasanth , Aishwarya Rai, Lakshmi, Nasar Music : A R Rehman Direction : Shankar Lyrics : Vairamuthu Vishwanathan(Prashanth) and Ramamoorthy(Prashanth) are twins. Their father, Nasser runs an Indian hotel in America and the twins study medicine. Once in an Airport Prashanth(Visu) meets Aishwarya(Madhumitha), Lakshmi and Raju Sundaram. They have come to USA for Lakshmi's operation, but have lost the address of the person with whom they plan to stay. Visu helps them. Lakshmi was operated wrongly and would have died, when Visu comes and saves her life. All these things bring Aishwarya close to "Visu" Prashanth. Just when they are about to leave to India, Lakshmi comes to know that Aish is in Love with Visu. Lakshmi acts as she is sick again and cancels her India trip. Visu and Aish start loving each other. When Nasser learns about their Love, he tells that their marriage is not possible bcos he wants his twin sons to marry girls from a same family. This is bcos when they marry two sisters then there is no possibility of a fight between his daughter-in-laws and so his sons will not be separated. (Flashback) Nasser twins run a hotel in Karaikudi. The younger Nasser is a shy, soft spoken character and his wife, Radhika takes him for a ride. Once, when pregnant Geetha(elder Nasser's wife), asks for some soda, Radhika does not allow her husband to fetch the soda. Geetha gives birth to Prashanths and dies. Elder Nasser leaves to USA with the twins. He strongly believes that his brother and he were separated bcos of their wives didn't get well with each other. That is the reason why he wants his sons to marry girls from the same family. (End of Flashback) Lakshmi tells Nasser that Aish is also a twin and that the other Prashanth (Ramu) can marry her. They all go to Chennai. Actually Aish doesn't have a sister and Lakshmi asks her to act as Madhu as well as Vaishali(the other Aish, who is supposed to be brought up in a Brahmin house). Ramu falls in deep love with Vaish without realizing that it is Madhu who is acting as Vaish. Meanwhile, both the Nassers exchange places (this is bcos the elder Nasser wants to sort out things for his younger brother). The elder Nasser acts as Radhika's husband and tries to correct her. Visu comes to know that Aish is playing two roles and gets angry with her for cheating his innocent brother. Aish tries to make him understand that she had no other choice but in vain. Later Ramu makes Visu understand the true love of Aish and they convince their father(actually it is the younger Nasser). On the day of the marriage the elder Nasser arrives and stops the marriage.
