Gemini falls in love with (Manisha)Kiran, a North Indian gal, even joining the same evening college as her to spend time with her. Not knowing his true profession, she falls for him too. The new DGP in town Singaperumal(Murali) cracks down on rowdyism and both Gemini and Teja are arrested. It is a reformed Gemini who comes out of jail and he struggles to convince Kiran of his change while resisting Teja's attempts to incite him. The story is about the gang wars in Chennai and is loosely based on two real life goondas, Sellu and Vella Ravi. Gemini (Vikram) and Teja (Kalabhavan Mani) are rival goons trying to gain control over a territory. Gemini falls in love with Manisha Natwarlal (Kiran) who is the daughter of a moneylender. At Manisha's insistence, he joins evening college. Murali is the city's DGP who is determined to clean the city of its filth and scum. He warns both the goons that he will not brook any interference of the law. Gemini's attempts to turn over a new leaf fail leading to his suspension from college and breakup with Kiran.
