Pyramid Natarajan acted as 'Modern' father who encourage his son's 'activities'. Dhiya the heroine had acted as 'most modern girl who drinks beer and see Blue films along with her friends. 'Thalai vassal' Vijay had acted as the strict father of Dhiya. Danush and Dhiya clashes with each other and then had come to an understanding. Meanwhile, the new entrant in the college was an innocent Bhramin girl Farool. She is a new comer to the Tamil film. Danush develops a liking and love for this girl. He is able to win over her mother Kuyili by his nice behavior and was allowed to visit their house freely. However, Farool does not like Danush, and is afraid of him. When, Mami Kuyili goes to her native place, she requests Danush to take care of her daughter in her absence. Danush along with his college friends compels Farool to go to a picnic with them. There, Danush manages to convince Farool to accept his love. On the way back from picnic, under unexpected circumstances, Danush and Dhiya had physical relationship.
