Music : Illayaraja Direction : Arun Pandian Producer : Five Star Productions The story involves around the perfect murder of a political person, which leaves the police no clue to start a lead. Arun Pandiyan is the murderer and Vijaykanth is police officer. Karthik also stars in the film, he portrays the role of an intelligent but corrupt advocate, his character being lined with some comedy element. So where are the women in the film? Might be that is the remaining suspense of the film. The movie starts like a thriller. A murder is committed and it is revealed immediately that Arun is the murderer. When he attempts to murder another important personality, he gets caught in the act by the police. CBI officer Vijayakanth questions Arun's motive for the murder. Arun narrates why he did the crime. In a country where there is a surplus of agricultural production, there are deaths due to starvation in various states, every year. In his quest to find out how the food grains produced fail to reach the people, Arun discovers that an anti-social gang headed by a man named "Chota" is responsible for illegally selling the grains to foreign countries. He takes the law in his own hands and pledges to kill those responsible for the starvation deaths in the country. Vijayakanth, who is also in pursuit of the same gang that Arun wants to avenge, tells Arun that both of them share the same goal. With the help of a very smart lawyer (Karthik), the CBI officer manages to acquit Arun.
